Rolex combines exceptional craftsmanship with advanced technology to create its Oyster Perpetual watches. The dials, for instance, are made from layers of lacquer carefully applied in a dust-free environment, followed by varnishing and polishing to enhance their color depth. The inscriptions are pad printed, and the markers and crown are riveted by hand. Rolex also uses Oystersteel, a high-tech 904L steel, for its cases, offering remarkable resistance to corrosion and a durable, polished finish. The iconic Oyster bracelet, first introduced in the 1930s, combines form and function with its robust and comfortable design, featuring broad, flat links and an Oysterclasp for the Oyster Perpetual models.
